German Debating
Our school has been extremely successful in the National German Debating Competition, sponsored by Siemens. St. Finian's College are 3 times winners: 2016 and 2018 & 2022. Pictured below are St. Finian's College, German Debating Team 2022: National Siemens German Debating Competition.

They defeated the motion in the final that mandatory vaccines should be introduced in Ireland. The final, which was 'live', was held in DCU/Alpha in Glasnevin in May & was attended by representatives from Siemens, the Goethe Institite & participating schools & fans. We are extremely proud of what our wonderful team, (both this year & previous years) have accomplished. They were guided & mentored by their wonderful teachers, Ms. Kathy Jameson & Ms Esther Beggan.
